Privacy Policy
We make games, not profiles. We have no accounts, no analytics and no servers that store anything about you. Our mobile apps show ads from Google, and this policy explains exactly what that involves and how to control it.

The short version
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Do we ask for your name, email, age, contacts or location? | No. You can play without giving us anything. |
| Where are your scores, progress and settings kept? | Only on your device (or in your browser). We never receive them. |
| Are there ads? | Yes, in the iOS and Android apps: an occasional full-screen ad between rounds, served by Google AdMob. No ads on this website or in the web versions of our games. |
| Does anyone receive data about you? | Google, to show ads in the apps (device and ad identifiers, IP address, basic device and app information). Our website host processes connection data to deliver pages. Nobody else. |
| Do we sell your data? | We never sell data for money. Some US state laws treat personalized advertising as a "sale" or "sharing"; you can opt out (see Your choices). |
| Camera? | Only games with face control (such as FaceMaze) use the camera, only with your permission, and all processing happens on your device. No pictures or face data are stored or sent anywhere unless you choose to share a picture. |

1. Who we are
Jumbletale games and the website jumbletale.com are published by VigilGuard LLC, a California limited liability company based in Sunnyvale, California, doing business as Jumbletale ("Jumbletale", "we", "us"). VigilGuard LLC is the party responsible for the information described in this policy (the "controller" under European data protection law). You can reach us at support@jumbletale.com.
This policy covers all Jumbletale games on the Apple App Store and Google Play, the web versions of our games, and jumbletale.com (together, the "Services").
2. What we collect, and what we don't
We do not collect personal information ourselves. The games have no sign-in, no account, no profile and no analytics or tracking tools of our own. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, age, contacts, photos library or precise location, and we do not run servers that receive your gameplay.
The only information that leaves your device is described in the sections below: advertising data handled by Google in the mobile apps (section 4), connection data handled by our website host (section 8), and anything you choose to send us by email (section 9) or share yourself (section 6).
3. Information kept on your device
To work properly, the games save a few small files on your device (or, for web versions, in your browser's local storage). They stay there; we cannot see them.
- Your settings: language, difficulty level, mode, sound, vibration, appearance and similar preferences.
- Your high scores, level progress and the results of your last round.
- Advertising counters: the date you first opened the app, how many rounds you have played and when an ad was last shown, so we can keep ads infrequent (no ads on the first day, never before your third round, at most one every three rounds and five minutes, and no more than six a day).
- Your advertising consent choices where Google's consent form applies.
- Pictures you create to share (for example a results card), saved temporarily so your device's share sheet can send them.
You can erase all of this at any time by deleting the app, or for web versions by clearing your browser's site data for jumbletale.com. Deleting it resets your scores and settings.
4. Advertising in our mobile apps
Our free iOS and Android apps are supported by ads from Google AdMob (Google LLC, or Google Ireland Limited for users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland). We show only full-screen ads between rounds: no banners, no ads in the middle of a round and no ads you must watch to get hints. The website and the web versions of our games show no ads.
What Google may collect
When an app requests and shows an ad, the Google Mobile Ads SDK built into the app may collect and send to Google:
- Device identifiers: on Android, the Android advertising ID (unless you have deleted it or opted out); on iOS, the identifier for vendors, and the advertising identifier (IDFA) only if you have allowed tracking (our apps never ask for tracking permission, so normally it is not available).
- Your IP address, which Google may use to estimate your general location (such as your country or city). Our apps do not access your device's location services.
- Device and app information, such as device model, operating system, language, app name and version, and network type.
- Information about the ads you see and interact with (impressions, taps), plus diagnostic and performance data, used for measurement, frequency limits and fraud prevention.
How it is used
Google uses this information to deliver ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance, detect fraud and abuse, and, where permitted and where you have not opted out, to show ads based on your interests ("personalized ads"). Where personalized ads are not allowed or you have opted out, Google can still show non-personalized ads, which rely on context (such as the app) and on general location, and still uses some data for measurement and fraud prevention.
Google acts under its own privacy policy. Learn more in Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Ads may be supplied by advertisers and ad networks through Google's platform; we do not add other ad networks to our apps.
We receive only aggregate reports from AdMob (such as how many ads were shown and the revenue earned). We do not receive information that identifies you.
5. Your choices about ads
- In the app: where the law requires it (currently the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, and certain US states where Google shows a privacy message), the app shows Google's consent or privacy message, and Privacy choices in Preferences lets you review or change your choice at any time, including "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information".
- iPhone and iPad: Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. With "Allow Apps to Request to Track" turned off, no app can access your advertising identifier.
- Android: Settings › Google › Ads (on some phones Settings › Privacy › Ads), where you can delete or reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads.
- Google: manage ad personalization at My Ad Center.
- Play without ads: the web versions of our games at jumbletale.com have no ads. If we offer a paid "Remove Ads" option in an app, buying it stops ads in that app.
6. Camera, photos and sharing
Some games (such as FaceMaze) can be controlled with your face. These games use the front camera only after you give permission, and only while you play.
- Everything happens on your device. The camera picture is analyzed on your phone or in your browser (using Apple ARKit on iPhone, and Google MediaPipe software included in the game on Android and the web) to estimate head tilt and expressions such as a smile. These numbers are used for gameplay in the moment and then discarded.
- No face data is kept. We do not create, store or send face templates, face geometry or any other biometric identifier, and we cannot identify anyone from the camera.
- Photos stay in memory. A game may take a fun photo when you pass a face challenge so it can show it to you at the end of a level. These photos are held in memory only, are never saved to your device or uploaded, and are gone when you leave the round, unless you choose to share one.
- Web version: the face-tracking model is loaded from jumbletale.com. If that copy is unavailable, your browser may download the same model file from Google's servers; this request includes your IP address but never any camera data.
- You can turn camera access off at any time in your device or browser settings; the games then offer touch controls.
Sharing is always your choice. When you tap Share, the game creates a picture (such as your results, or a photo you selected) on your device and hands it to your device's share sheet or the social network you pick. We do not receive it. What happens next is governed by the service you share to.
7. Purchases
If an app offers an in-app purchase (such as removing ads), the payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google under their terms and privacy policies. We never receive your name, card or payment details; the app receives only a confirmation from the store that the purchase is valid, which is stored on your device.
8. Our website
jumbletale.com is a static website with no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no third-party tracking scripts. It is delivered by our hosting provider, Cloudflare, Inc., which processes connection information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to deliver the site and protect it against attacks. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies. Your browser's local storage keeps your site preferences (such as light or dark appearance) and the saved data of web games you play. Links to app stores and social networks take you to services with their own privacy policies.
9. When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and we use them only to reply and to help with your request. Our email is provided by Google Workspace. We keep support emails for as long as needed to resolve your request and keep a record of it, normally no longer than 24 months, and we delete them sooner if you ask.
10. Children
Our games are designed to be friendly for all ages, with no chat, no user-generated content shared with other players and no purchases needed to play. The Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to us (for example by email), contact us and we will delete it.
11. How information is shared
We do not sell personal information for money and we do not share it with data brokers. Information is disclosed only:
- to Google, for advertising in the mobile apps, as described in sections 4 and 5;
- to service providers that run the Services for us (Cloudflare for the website, Google Workspace for email), who may use it only to provide their services;
- to Apple or Google when you use their app stores, under their own policies;
- if required by law, to protect the rights, safety or security of our users, the public or us, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply to information transferred.
12. Legal bases (EEA, UK and Switzerland)
Where European data protection law applies: personalized advertising and the related use of device storage and identifiers rely on your consent, collected through Google's consent form, which you can withdraw at any time in Privacy choices; non-personalized advertising, ad measurement, fraud prevention and website security rely on our legitimate interests in offering free games and keeping the Services secure; replying to your emails relies on our legitimate interest in providing support, or on taking steps at your request.
13. International transfers
We are based in California, in the United States. Google and Cloudflare process data in the United States and other countries. Where data is transferred from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, these providers rely on recognized safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and its UK and Swiss extensions, or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
14. How long information is kept
- Information on your device: until you delete the app or clear your browser data.
- Advertising data held by Google: under Google's retention policies, described in Google's Privacy Policy.
- Website connection logs: kept by Cloudflare for a short period for delivery and security.
- Support emails: as described in section 9.
15. Security
Because we keep almost no information, there is very little to protect, and that is deliberate. The website is served only over HTTPS and access to our accounts and support mailbox is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect what little we hold.
16. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to access, correct or delete it, to receive a copy, to object to or restrict certain uses, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information or of targeted advertising. You will not be treated differently for exercising these rights.
Because our games store your data only on your device, we usually hold nothing that we could link to you. To exercise a right:
- For data on your device: delete the app or clear your browser's site data.
- For advertising: use the choices in section 5. For data Google holds, use Google's privacy tools or contact Google.
- For anything else, including emails you sent us: write to support@jumbletale.com. We will respond within 30 days (45 days where US state law allows, extendable as the law permits). We may ask for information to confirm the request is yours. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows.
If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with the subject "Privacy appeal"; we will answer within the time the law requires. In the EEA, the UK or Switzerland you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
17. Notice for California and other US state residents
In the past 12 months, through the Google Mobile Ads SDK in our apps, the following categories of personal information may have been collected: identifiers (advertising ID, identifier for vendors, IP address); internet or other electronic network activity (ad impressions and interactions, app and device information); and general location inferred from the IP address. If you email us, we also receive identifiers and the contents of your message. The sources are your device and you. The purposes are those in sections 4, 8 and 9.
Disclosure of identifiers and network activity to Google and its advertising partners for personalized advertising may be a "sale" or "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California and similar state laws. You can opt out through Privacy choices in the app where Google shows a US privacy message, by limiting tracking or deleting your advertising ID on your device (section 5), or by emailing us. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. We do not collect sensitive personal information. Our website does not use tracking technologies, so a Global Privacy Control or "Do Not Track" signal has nothing to switch off there.
18. Changes to this policy
If our practices change, for example if we add a new kind of feature, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date. If a change materially affects how information is collected or used, we will make it clear on this page and, where the law requires, ask for your consent.
